How to use the app

Main Priority List Screen

You can use Focus on Five completely free of charge. You can manage your five weekly priorities each week, set future priorities, and even have the Apple Watch companion app for free.

The only paid feature of Focus on Five is Dexter AI. Dexter AI will help you break down large and complex ideas or goals into smaller, actionable weekly priorities. Dexter AI will also make sure that you do not get caught up doing small tasks over and over again.

The main priority list screen displays your weekly priorities. In this screen, you can add new priorities, update priorities, rearrange the order of the priorities, complete priorities, and delete priorities. You can also access Dexter AI, keep future priorities, and see completed priorities.

Note: You must have one open spot of the five priority spots in the week to be able to add a future priority.

Move a Priority to the Future

Let's say you know you cannot complete a priority in the week because you do not have the capacity, there are dependencies outside your control, or you're blocked. You can move the priority to the future to be completed at a future time. On the main priority list screen, tap the priority, and then the "Move to Future" button.

Note: When you move a priority to the future, you will open one of the five priority spots for the week.

Dexter AI

Dexter AI is your AI companion that assists you in defining your weekly priorities. Dexter AI is our own Large Language Model (LLM) specifically fine-tuned for Focus on Five. Dexter AI will help you break down large and complex ideas or goals into smaller, actionable weekly priorities. Dexter AI will also make sure that you do not get caught up doing small tasks over and over again.
